Happy Birthday

Hello there my crafty friends! Today I am stopping in to share a card that I created for this weeks new tic-tac-toe challenge over at KaDoodle Bug Designs.

It is a Birthday tic-tac-toe challenge and all of the details on how to enter can be found on the pinned post here.

I used the Polka Dots, Cake, & Sentiment line to create my card. This is a standard A2 sized card. My card base is 110lb white ReCollections cardstock. The pink patterned card mat is from the Doodlebug Design Inc. Swiss Dot Rainbow Petite Prints 6x6 paper pad and the larger polka dot strip is from the Doodlebug Design Inc. Fairy Tales 6x6 paper pad.  I added some twine that I had in my stash, along the polka dot strip to add some interest.

For my paper piecing, I used the adorable "Birthday Slushy" file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  I uploaded the file into my Cricut Design Space, resized and cut each piece using my Cricut Explore Air 2.  I inked up all of the pieces using Tim Holtz Distress Inks and adhered all pieces together using Art Glitter glue. To finish this cutie off, I added some Stickles to areas of his birthday hat and some Glossy Accents to the sprinkles or candy drops on the cake.

I kept my sentiment straight to the point, and used a "happy birthday" stamp from the Kat Scrappiness Everyday Brush Strokes Stamp Set.

Below is a list of supplies and products I used to create this sweet birthday card:

Pawsome Friends

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday!! Today I am here to share a card I created with the new "Pawsome Friends" stamp set from Craftin Desert Divas. This stamp set will be released and available to purchase in the shop on the 16th. This set will also be given away to one lucky person if we can reach 275 "going" to the February Release Event. So if you have not done so already, head on over, invite all your friends and make sure that you click "going".

Is this not the cutest?!?! Are you more of a dog or cat person? I am definitely more of a dog person. I have three fur babies myself and so I knew that I just had to create something using the adorable pups in this stamp set.

I love that there are so many images in this set and that they can be used so many different ways with so many of the additional stamps and dies that Craftin Desert Divas offers.

Flakey Friends

Hello everybody. Today I'd like to share my inspiration for the Leinzlove Tear Bear Challenge Blog
http://leinzlovetearbearchallenge.blogspot.com

This card measures 5.5" x 8.5" and was created using a svg file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.

The base of this card was made using card stock from KI Memories - Holiday Collection - Alpine Wonderland.

My paper pieced snowmen and snowflakes are from the "Frosty Friends" file at KaDoodle Bug Designs, which you can find here: http://kadoodlebugdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=363

I uploaded the file to Design Space and cut out the pieces using my Cricut Explore. Once all my pieces were cut, I then used Color Box Chalk Inks to shade each piece. I then used Aleene's Tacky Glue to adhere and piece them together.

To finish off my paper piecing, I used a white gel pen to add some highlights and added Stickles to the snowflakes and snowballs.

To create my sentiment, I first used a Banner Die from Craftin' Desert Divas
http://craftindesertdivas.com/banner-dies/

I then stamped my "Flakey Friends" sentiment onto the die. This stamp is from the Craftin' Desert Divas - Holly Day Punnies stamp set
http://craftindesertdivas.com/holly-day-punnies/

I added a purple button and some twine (both from ReCollections) to finish off my card.

I hope you enjoyed today's creation. Thank you for visiting and I hope to see you again soon!

Let's Chill

Hello friends!! I hope everybody has enjoyed the Holidays! I can't believe that tomorrow is New Year's Eve!!! I'm excited to see what the New Year will bring and hope it involves a lot more crafting!!!!

Anyway, as one of my last projects for 2015, I made this adorable "Let's Chill" card using a cutting file from KaDoodle Bug Designs - Snow Friends (Graphic Design is from Whimsical Inklings by Cheryl).

This card measures 5x7 and was made using a combination of both ReCollections & Bazzill card stock. The patterned paper I used is the "Stacked with Love" Designer Series Paper Stack from Stampin' Up!

After uploading the file into Design Space and cutting all my pieces, I chalked each piece using Color Box Chalk Inks in the following colors: French Blue, Seattle Sky, Dark Brown, Red Barn, Burnt Sienna and Rose Coral.  I then pieced them all together using Aleene's Tacky Glue.

Although you may not be able to tell from the picture, I also used a White Gel Pen, some Wink of Stella (GL. Silver 102) and some Stickles (Ice) on some of the pieces for added highlights, definition and texture.

For the sentiment area of the card, I used ReCollections Printed Tape (Chevron Pattern). I cut out two (2) scallop circles using my Sizzix dies and Big Shot machine.  My sentiment "Let's Chill" is from the Craftin Desert Diva's - Chill Out stamp set. I stamped it onto my scalloped circles using StazOn Jet Black Ink. I also added some Stickles (Ice) to the areas of the "Chill" where it looks like it is snow/ice (again, I apologize if you can't see it in the picture).

And there you have it..... my completed "Let's Chill" card. Thank you all for stopping by today. I wish each and every one of you a Happy, Healthy New Year filled with lots of Love (and crafting)!!!
