Bookmark

Good afternoon!! I'm stopping by this afternoon to share my newest creation.  My daughter had asked me for a bookmark the other day and I did not have one, so I figured I'd make her one.  She also has a love for Bears, so I made sure to incorporate that into it as well.

The pattern I used is from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs and is called "Mom Blocks" which you can find here: http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/item_1109/Mom-Blocks.htm

This was rather simple to do.  I cut the bookmark shape out using my Cricut Explore.  I used Recollection Card Stock.  I spelled out her name using Jolee's embellishment stickers that I had on hand and added each one to a different block.  I then attached a small polka-dotted pink ribbon and tah-dah..... instant bookmark. (My daughter loves it too!!!!)

Happy July 4th Card

Happy Tuesday my crafty friends!! This mornings project is a super cute 4th Of July card.  This card measures 6"x 6".  The pattern file I used for this card is from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs and is called "Eagle with Firecracker" and can be found here:  http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/category_22/Weekly-Freebie.htm

For this card, I used Bazzill and Recollections card stock.  The patterned paper which I used to make the "Sunburst" pattern is from the Doodlebug Design, Inc. "Patriotic Picnic" paper pad.  I also cut out the sentiment for the card using that same paper. The red with white star ribbon border is from Celebrate It and measures 1& 1/2".  I also added some Stickles glitter glue to the three white stars on the firecracker for that added extra sparkle.

Playtime At The Park...

Good evening!! Hope everybody had a Happy Monday and a great start to the week! Today I created this two page layout.  It is very detailed but I think it turned out great!

All paper used in this layout is from Recollections, Bazzill and American Crafts.  The pattern files are from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  I combined three different files: Outdoor Play (http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/item_893/Outdoor-Play.htm), Out 2 Sea (http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/item_603/Out-2-Sea.htm), and Think Spring (http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/item_1276/Think-Spring.htm). 

The layout contains four (4) 3x5 picture tiles and one (1) 4x6 picture tile.  Each tile has a ribbon running across and is loose enough to slide a picture underneath.  All flower accents, have Stickles glitter glue and a small colored candy dot in the center.  The three girl patterns, all have rhinestones accenting their hair bows.

This was a fun layout to make.  I hope you all enjoy it.

"NUT" THING COMPARES TO YOU

Here I am again with another card for everybody.  I think it came out pretty good! What do you think?  This card is 6" x 6".  I used Recollections and Bazzill Card stock.  The cute little squirrel is a Weekly Freebie file over at Little Scrap Of Heavens Designs which you can find here: http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/images/large/squirrel_in_walnut_shell_cover.png
I added some twine and three small buttons which are from the Stampin' Up! Brights Collection.
The sentiment was drawn using the Cricut Explore and colored in with  a Stampin Up! Brights Collection marker: Old Olive.  Hope you enjoyed today's make and I'll see you all again soon!!

End of Year Teacher's Cards

Good afternoon everyone! So..... today's makes are end of the year teacher cards.  Yes, it is the last week of school and of course I am running around like a nut trying to get all the teacher gifts together. I figured I may as well make some cards too.  I have two done so far with about 3 or 4 more to go.

All the paper piecings and cuts of this card are from the "School Days SVG Kit" which can be found here: http://svgcuts.com/images/back-to-school-svg-collection.jpg

I used Recollections basic card stock for the base of the card. The patterned paper is from the "back to school" doodlebug design paper pad.  I added some buttons, glitter and some twine which I had purchased at my local dollar store.

I hope the teachers love it!!!

Little Pigcasso Collection - Double Page Scrapbook Layout

With school ending this week for two of my children, they have brought home folders full of artwork and crafts that they have made.  Of course I want to save it all and I would love to be able to add it to a scrapbook, however, there is no way that any of it would fit into a scrapbook.  So...... I thought of the next best thing and decided to take some pictures of the artwork and scrap it that way.

All of the paper I used on this layout is Recollections Paper.  The chalk and ink I used on the paper pieces is Color Box Chalk.

Criss Cross Card with Tag

Good afternoon all!  Today I wanted to share my Criss Cross Card with Tag.  This card measures 6"x 6".  I used Recollections and Bazzill card stock.  The patterned paper is from American Crafts.  My little frog friend (isn't he cute???) is from the Frog In Rain Hat file that you can find over at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs (I will add the link below). He is actually listed as a Freebie file this week, so run over there and pick him up while you can.  The wavy border running along the outside of the card if a felt border from Martha Stewart.  The sentiment "Just for you" is from the Label Love stamp set from Stampin' Up and is stamped in the Strawberry Slush ink.  I also added a small green button and some twine just to add a little dimension.

On the tag portion of the card, I added a small tab at the top so it is easier to pull out of the criss cross card pocket.

It was fun making this card!! Can't wait to do another one!!! Hope you all enjoy it!! See you soon.

Hoppy 4th

Hi everyone.  Just wanted to share a cute one page layout that I created today for the sketch challenge going on over at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs.  Seeing as the 4th of July will be here before you know it, I decided to go ahead and use that theme.  I used the "Hoppy 4th" file from Little Scraps of Heaven which you can find here: http://www.littlescrapsofheavendesigns.com/item_1144/Hoppy-Fourth.htm

The paper I used was mostly Recollection Cardstock and the patterned paper is from Echo Park.  I used the Cricut to cut out my title and layered it on some red star ribbon.  I added red, white and blue gems to all the stars as well for that little added Bling!! Cruisin' By......

Happy Monday!!! March of Dimes Bulletin Board Project

Hello there.  If any of you have been following my Facebook Fan Page, you should have seen a few posts of some adorable critters I was making for this school bulletin board.  I think it turned out pretty nice!!! The giraffes and elephants were made using the Cuddly Critter files from Cuddly Cute Designs.  The lions also came from Cuddly Cute Designs Zoo Animals file.  The kangaroos were made using the Tiny Treasures Kangaroo file from Treasure Box Designs.  I added a bunch of the coloring pages that children from the school colored and also put up a few informative pages about the March of Dimes and the work that they do.  It was indeed a fun board to design!!!

Junior Girl Scout Planter

This make was a quick last minute gift idea.  My daughter's Girl Scout Troop is having their Year End Celebration and of course I needed to get a gift for her troop leader.  I saw this nice plant and figured there had to be something I could add to it to make it a bit more personal.  I found and used the "Make New Friends" file from Scrapping Bug Designs to make this cute Junior Girl Scout.  I glued her onto a wooden dowel and added her to the plant.  I think it turned out pretty good.

Lion & Kangaroo Paper Piecing

Happy Saturday!!!  I'm a bit late in posting these two cute critters, but I am happy that they are complete.  I have to say that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how the Lions turned out.  I used the Zoo Animals file from Cuddly Cute Designs for these guys.

For the Kangaroo, I used the Tiny Treasures Kangaroo file from Treasure Box Designs.

I now think that all my animals sets are complete and I can hopefully make it up to my daughters' school this week to display them on the bulletin board for the upcoming March of Dimes Wonderwalk.  I will make sure I get pics of the completed board and post for all of you to see.

Cuddly Critter Elephants

Here are the Cuddly Critter Elephants I just put together using the file Cuddly Critter Elephant from Cuddly Cute Designs.  This is now my second set of animals completed for the upcoming bulletin board I need to design up at my daughters' school.  More animals to come.... and I will post a picture of the completed bulletin board once it is up so that you may all see how it came together.  Thanks for looking...

This is the first set of animals that I have made which will be used on a bulletin board up at my daughters' school to help promote the March of Dimes Wonderwalk that will be taking place there later this month.
