You should be arriving from Mellisa blog. If you happened across this post out of order, please head to the KaDoodle Bug Design's Blog to start at the beginning of the hop.

Here is the project I created:

I created a two page layout using the Charmkin Cuties - Waiting for Santa File.

I thought this file was so sweet and just perfect to catch those Christmas Eve memories.

The materials I used to created this layout are as follows:

  Bazzill Cardstock
 ReCollections Cardstock
Doodlebug Design Inc.- Sugarplum Pad
Crate Paper - Snow Day Pad
American Crafts - The Color of Memories Pad
Color Box Chalk Inks
White Gelly Roll Pen
 Stickles
Darice Embossing Folder (Brickwall)
 Red Pearl Adhesive Gems
 1/8" Ribbon from Offray

I used my Cricut Explore to cut out all of my paper pieces, title. and photo mats. I then chalked each of my paper piecings and put them together.  My title for this layout is: "'Twas the Night Before Christmas..." I used the Nursery Rhymes font in Design Space to create it. I added stickles to the fluff on my stockings and ribbon and pearl gem adhesives to the presents, placed by each photo mat.

I hope you were inspired and enjoyed my Holiday Hop Project! Thank you for joining and hopping along with us today!!

Mr. & Mrs. Claus Cards

Hello there my crafty friends! Happy Friday! Today I am sharing two Christmas cards that I created using the cutest files from KaDoodle Bug Designs - Cutie KaToodles Mrs. Claus & Santa Bear.

These cards each measure 5 x 7. To make these cuties, I used ReCollections cardstock, Blaze Velvet Paper from Sei, Foil cardstock from DCWV and designer cardstock from Doodlebug Designs Inc. - Sugarplums 6x6 pad.

I uploaded my svg files into Design Space and cut them out using my Cricut Explore. I then chalked each piece with Colorbox Chalk Inks and pieced them together.

I added Stickles for a glittery effect to the hat brim and sleeve cuff of Mrs. Claus as well as to the hat and cuffs of Santa.

I also made a bow and attached it to the present that Mrs. Claus is holding using red satin ribbon I had in my stash and added three small red pearl adhesive gems to the holly on her hat.

I used my Banner Dies and Stitched In Circles Dies from Craftin' Desert Divas and adhered the cuts to my card base.

The stamped sentiment on my card is from a Sunny Studios stamp set.

I thought that the card needed a bit more "bling", so I then decided to add some sequins. I used  some Christmas/Noel sequins from ArtMinds as well as sequins from the "Jingle Jangle" assortment from Craftin' Desert Divas.

To finish off my card, I used a white gelly roll pen to add some highlights to both Mr. & Mrs. Claus as well as the stitches on both of my die cuts.

I love how these turned out and I know the two children who I plan on sending these to will love them. Well, that is it for today! Thank you for stopping by and I'll see you all again soon with another crafty project!

Christmas Themed Pocket Letter

Hello there and Happy Friday!!! Today I'd like to share this Christmas Pocket Letter that I just finished.  I think I am truly obsessed with creating these Pocket Letters! They are just so much fun and the possibilities are truly endless.  This one has a home and will be going postal soon. I really hope that the recipient likes it.

Anyway, to create this I used a 9 pocket card sleeve. I chose a Christmas themed card stock from American Crafts, which I cut down to 2.5" x 3.5" for 7 of the 9 pockets.  For one of the pockets (far left - middle row) I cut the card stock at 3.5" x 5" and then scored it at 1.25" and 3.75" to create a bi-fold opening. This pocket is where my letter will be placed. I punched two holes on each flap and added a green ribbon to keep it closed.  My middle pocket I filled with Christmas sequins from ArtMinds and fused it closed with my new fuse tool. (Have to say that I don't know how I made it this long with out that tool!!! It is awesome!!). I added some washi tape at the top of that middle pocket for some added decoration.

The three paper pieced bears that are shown in pockets at the top middle, and bottom left and right pockets are probably the smallest paper piecings I have ever created to date, LOL.  They are all from KaDoodle Bug Designs and are just the cutest files ever. Each file was uploaded, re-sized and cut using my Cricut Explore. I then used by Color Box Chalk Inks to shade each piece and assembled them together. I also used additional items, such as glossy accents, stickles, and pearl enamel gems on each one to give each piece a little extra special something.

In the top left pocket, I created a wreath using the Stitched in Circles Dies from Craftin' Desert Divas. I added some rhinestone gems and tied them together using red satin ribbon that I had in my ribbon stash. In the middle of the wreath I cur out a small tag and added a mini burlap ornament sticker from Holiday Memories By Nicole.

The top right pocket is a flower pattern punched out from a Stampin'Up punch I had. (Sorry, can't remember the name of it). I then stamped the sentiment onto it using a stamp from the Craftin' Desert Diva's "Get Your Jingle On" stamp set. I added some glittered designed tape and two small tags with green buttons to embellish.

The pocket underneath that has some washi tape and two mini burlap gingerbread man and house stickers, again, from Holiday Memories By Nicole.

And for the last pocket (Bottom row, middle), I used a scalloped square punch on some ivory cardstock and stamped a Christmas tree and a merry sentiment on it. These stamps are from ReCollections. I added some stickles to the tree for that extra sparkly look. I also added some more washi tape along the top and bottom of the card and added some red sequins as well.

On the border/margin of my pocket letter I lined it using red and gold rhinestones and I looped three pieces of green satin ribbon through the punched holes. I then used Design Space and cut out the snowflake tag  and "Believe" sentiment. I chalked the outer edges of the tag using green and red chalk ink as well.

Overall, I am extremely happy with how it turned out.  Can't wait to get started on the next one, Hahaha..... Thank you for stopping by today!

Set of 3 - Christmas Gift Tags

Hello my crafty friends! Today I am sharing a set of three Christmas Gift Tags that I created using a file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  I love how this turned out and I can't wait to use them!!!

To make the base of the tags, I used woven paper from DCWV and patterned paper from American Crafts. To create their shape and stitched look, I cut them out using my Big Shot and used my Banner Dies and Stitched in Circles Dies from Craftin' Desert Divas.

I punched a hole in the top left corner of each tag and added a small bow and extra ribbon (so that you may attach it to a gift, bag, box, etc.)  All the ribbon is from Recollections.

And as for my three adorable Reindeers, again, they are from the Christmas Reindeer file which can be found over at KaDoodle Bug Designs. They are all made using Bazzill and ReCollections card stock.

For this first tag, I cut out all the pieces using my Cricut Explore and then chalked each one using Color Box Chalk Ink. I used red and green Stickles on both the garland on her head and the bow of the present. I also added a green pearl gem to the present as well.  The tag on the present says. "No Peeking", and was written using my Cricut as well. Lastly, I used my white gel pen to add a few highlights.

For the second tag, again, I cut out all the pieces using my Cricut Explore and then chalked each one using Color Box Chalk Ink. I used white Stickles on on the rim and pom-pom of the Santa hat. I also added glossy accent to the candy cane and used my white gel pen to add on some final highlights.

For my third and final tag, I cut out all the pieces using my Cricut Explore and then chalked each one using Color Box Chalk Ink. I used red Stickles on the garland on her head and the wreath. I used my white gel pen to add the last of the highlights.

And there you have it..... three adorably cute gift tags ready for the Holidays!
I hope you all enjoyed my craft for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Criss-Cross Turkey Card.....

Hello and Happy Friday!! My creation for today is this super cute Criss-Cross Turkey Card.
This card measures 4.25" x 5".  I used Recollections Card Stock and Designer Paper from the Recollections Harvest Delight paper pad.

For the inside Tag which is removable (as shown below), I used a piece of brown ribbon that I had in my ribbon stash and stamped the "Thankful for you" sentiment from Craftin' Desert Divas -  Thankful Squeaks stamp set.

Mu adorable Turkey friend is the Cutie KaToodles Turkey from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  I used my Cricut Explore to upload the file and cut out all his pieces using ReCollections and Bazzill Cardstock.
Once each piece was cut, I then chalked all pieces using Color Box Chalk Inks.

For the feathers of this Turkey, I used an embossing folder from Darice (unfortunately, I can't remember the name of it and don't have it on hand, sorry!).  For the Turkey's body, I traced the paper pieces onto felt and then glued them in place. I chalked the felt with my Color Box Chalk Ink and using a soft brush, brushed out the fleece to give him that fluffy/fuzzy look. I then added a few highlights and final touches to him using my white gel pen.

And there you have it folks..... another adorable card completed! I hope you enjoyed today's creation as much as I enjoyed making it.  Have a fabulous and crafty weekend and I will be back soon with some more great projects for you!

Thankful for You.........

It is finally November and I am really excited to start working on all of my Fall & Thanksgiving projects! Today I am sharing a Fall/Thanksgiving themed card that I created.

This card measures 5 x 7 and the base of the card was made using Recollections Card Stock. The beautiful fall patterned paper I used is from the ReCollections Harvest Delight paper pad.

I used a die from the Banners Die Set that I have from Craftin' Desert Divas and also used a stamp from the Thankful Squeaks stamp set (Thankful for you) also from Craftin' Desert Divas. I heat embossed the stamped image in "Pesto" Recollections Pearl Embossing Powder, although I don't think you can really tell from the pic...sorry!! To bring out some ore green color in the card, I also gently went over the stitches in the die with a green marker.

For my adorable little squirrel friend, I used the "Nut'n Better Than Fall" file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  She is made using Bazzill Card Stock. I first uploaded the file onto my Cricut Explore and cut out all the pieces. I then used my Color Box Chalk Inks to shade each piece and then put this little cutie together using Aleene's Fast Grab Tacky Glue. I used a Pigma Micron Pen (#005) and a White Gel Pen to then add a few details and highlights.

I wanted to add ribbon tho this card and came across the prettiest fall ribbon in my stash. Both ribbons are from Offray. The vertical ribbon on my card measures 5/8" and the smaller ribbon I used for my bow, measures 3/8".

Once all my ribbon and pieces were attached as I wanted them, I then added a small red wooden leaf button to the middle of my bow for an added embellishment.

I really am happy with how this card turned out.  Let me know what you think by leaving me a comment, thought or suggestion.  Thanks for stopping by and I will see you soon.
